ninety nineThis is an easy adding card game, for 2 or more players, in which the values of the cards are added together as they are played in a single pile (pile score). The object of the game is to avoid taking the pile score over 99. How to playDeal out 3 cards to each player and place the remainder of the pack face down to form the stack.
The player on the left of the dealer begins and play continues in a clockwise direction.
Any card can be played when it is your turn.
Players in turn play a card on the table, face up, forming a pile of cards alongside the stack.
Each player calls out the total of the pile at their turn.
This is the pile score.
After playing a card , players pick up the top card from the stack keeping 3 cards in the player’s hand.
Played cards affect the pile score as follows; Dot cards -represent the number to be added to the pile score.
Reverse cards – changes the direction of the game.
10 cards - add ten to the pile score.
Minus – 10 cards - reduce the pile score total by 10.
The Same cards - keeps the total of the pile score the same.
99 Cards - makes the pile score 99. This card automatically makes the score 99 no matter what the pile score is. It can be played when the pile score is 99 keeping the score at 99.
Any card can be played at anytime.
THE AIM OF THE GAME IS TO AVOID TAKING THE PILE SCORE OVER – 99. The Person who takes the pile score over 99 – has a drink. PLAYED CARDS AFFECT THE VOLUME OF THE PILE AS FOLLOWS…
The aim of the game is to avoid taking the pile score over 99. The person who takes the pile score over 99 loses and takes a drink.
